The second shipment of discs is on its way – they have been tracked to Montréal, and should arrive for tomorrow – à temps pour notre concert vendredi ! Après le concert, ils vont être en vente à Audition Musik et au Musée régional de Rimouski !

Notre lancement officieuse…de notre disque ‘Portrait’ est occasion assez pour fêter avec nous ! Autour de deux oeuvres sur l’enregistrement, Hugues, Steeve et James joueront deux trios pour cordes; un de Mozart (Divertimento KV 229 no 2) et un autre de Borodin (Trio en sol ‘Sur un thème Russe’).  We also welcome Elise back from her leave for enough time to prepare and perform the Haydn and Villa-Lobos that we recorded. All in the wonderful acoustics of the Musée régional de Rimouski. Venez, célébrez avec nous !!  Au plaisir !

Upcoming are two concerts, both to be held at the Musée régional de Rimouski. On March 2nd, we highlight the release of our first album, ‘Portrait’ with a program that will include the first Villa-Lobos quartet, one of the recorded works on the album.  Nothing like hearing chamber music live in person !

Later this spring, we are honored to play in the company of improviser, composer and violinist Malcolm Goldstein on Friday, April 12th in a collaboration with Tour de Bras, the Rimouski-based musique actuelle co-operative. On the program is ‘Through deserts of time’, a quartet that he wrote in the 90’s.

Après ces beaux moments à Montréal, on revient le vent dans les voiles…et c’est une bonne chose, étant donner les exigences de notre programme de novembre 12 et 13 ! Il s’agit de notre premier concert de cette collaboration heureuse avec le Musée régional de Rimouski;  l’Italia: Opulence et Amour.

Last Monday marked the launch of an exciting collaboration between the quatuor and the Musée régional de Rimouski for the upcoming season. Each of our three programs are oriented around current exhibitions, and each concert will be preceded at 7:30 by an interactive presentation by the museum’s Contemporary Art Curator Bernard Lamarche.
